Instant Request was so easy to work with. I put my husband in charge of finding our DJ and boy did he do a great job. Instant request was responsive and willing to make our wedding needs a reality. DJ Rick was our DJ. We told him our biggest want was a full dance floor and we told him to read the room and play music accordingly. He killed it. Our dance floor was packed with people of all ages. He did an amazing job mashing the oldies, with the classics, to current music. He exceeded all expectations. We had so many guests tell us that DJ Rick was the best wedding DJ they had ever come across and that our wedding was so fun as a result of it. Thank you Rick! We are so happy with the work you did.

Our experience with Instant Request from start to finish was fantastic! The online planner was easy to use and helped us map out the evening. Our DJ, Rick, was phenomenal! He took the time to learn about our music preferences, the mood we wanted for each part of the evening, and brought it to life day of. We received so many compliments on how fun the dancing and the music selection was throughout the whole night. We are so thankful for Rick and Instant Request for ensuring we had excellent music and dancing throughout the night.

We had an amazing experience with Instant Request at our wedding. I absolutely loved the detailed event planner that we were asked to fill out prior to being assigned a DJ. It really helped me consider every part of the evening and exactly how I wanted the timeline to lay out. A few weeks prior to our event Rick A was assigned to be our DJ. Within a few days we had a great phone conversation where he gave me a few suggestions on details that I hadn’t quite figured out yet. He made me very confident with his experience and professionalism. And on wedding night we were not disappointed! Rick not only kept my guests dancing, but also provided excellent customer service. We had numerous reservations about planning a wedding in St. Paul while living in New York. We knew there would be challenges with selecting vendors since we weren’t local, but Instant Request seemed to be a solid option when we were looking at reviews and feedback from their previous clients. Since we were planning from afar, we decided to go with the Black Tie Service with Instant Request. We were assigned DJ Rick Ausland for our wedding and after meeting and working with Rick, we don’t think a better option could have been available! Rick responded to all emails and made us feel calm in the months leading up to the wedding. We had so many other things to worry about, and he constantly reassured us that we would be in good hands. We finally had a chance to FaceTime with Rick about three weeks before the wedding, and he took his time going over the Instant Request online form with us, answered all of our questions, gave us some ideas, and really made us feel comfortable that everything was going to be perfect on the day of the wedding. And you know what? Rick was right. He had all of the song choices ready to go for our ceremony and introductions. He had a plan for what kind of music to play as the dinner eventually segued into the reception. Once the dancing did start, the dance floor was never empty! We had songs that we wanted to hear, and Rick played them all. However, he also did a great job of reading the room and playing music that got our guests out of their seats. We had a perfect wedding day, and our experience with Rick and Instant Request DJ was definitely a big part of it. If you’re planning a wedding in the Twin Cities, these guys should be your first call when you’re looking for a DJ. If you’re lucky enough to get Rick, you’re in great hands and you’re going to have a great time!

You did an amazing job and truly went above and beyond for us on our wedding day, and we could not be happier with your work! When you brought in You and Me by Dave Matthews at the end of my toast after hearing me quote it, when you went into the anniversary dance after the somewhat awkward moment of my dad not being initially around for the Father/Daughter dance, when you kept the party going all night; every moment was flawlessly executed. I had multiple people approach me during the wedding and tell me that you were an absolute rockstar. Thank you so much for creating the best party atmosphere for the biggest night of our lives. Your professionalism, relaxed manner, and understanding of how to keep a party going are second to none. The memories that you helped created will never be forgotten!!! 

We had DJ Rick for our wedding day. He was amazing to work with we had a phone consultation before our big day finalizing the detail of our reception. He could not have made our day more enjoyable and easy going. He followed our playlist and added some other songs that got everyone else dancing. We would highly recommend Instant Request for their events.

Rick from Instant Request was the best wedding DJ I’ve ever experienced. He was professional, kind, and incredibly talented. We had so many friends asking for his name at our wedding. We received so many compliments on his talents! He made the night so special and fun for all. Definitely gave his name/info out to a few friends who are getting married  Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved our wedding experience with Instant Request. We were so worried that we wouldn’t have a big group of people dancing at our wedding, but DJ Rick was absolutely amazing and kept the dance floor packed all night long. We couldn’t have been happier! 

We want to thank you for the tremendous job you did at our wedding. You weren’t assigned to our wedding until a few days prior which initially made us nervous, but you were so persaonable, organized and sincerely excited to celebrate our day with us which instantly calmed all of our nerves! Honestly, we can’t thank you enough and are so glad things didn’t work out with the first DJ assigned to us, because we were lucky and honored to have you there! DJ Rick was awesome! We were very happy with our selection of Instant Request! My husband and I gave DJ Rick a list of songs we would like played but then gave him the reins to mix it up and read the crowd. He did a wonderful job and kept people on the dance floor till the lights turned on!!!! 

We had DJ Rick and he literally CRUSHED IT! We went for the black tie service and got to meet with him beforehand and he is just the best. He confirmed how to pronounce everyone’s names, took notes on everything we talked about, and was just so nice. Then the day of, he was so fun! Did a lot of cool mixing, played all the best songs, our dance floor was packed the whole time! When he was packing up he even came over and enjoyed some late night snack with me, my hubby and my parents. Just the best dj ever! 

I wanted to shoot you a quick note and let you know how impressed we were by Rick at our wedding. We had very high expectations headed into our wedding. Somehow Rick surpassed those extremely lofty expectations. Rick accommodated each and every one of our unique song requests and even used his expansive skill set to tailor our first dance into a memory that will last a lifetime. The dance floor was PACKED from the moment Rick began his playlist after dinner. Several our of guests reached out after the wedding and mentioned how spectacular our DJ was. We will be recommending Rick to all of our family and friends going forward. 

We gave our sincere thanks to Rick after our wedding on Saturday, but I wanted to let you know how thrilled Colin and I were with Rick and Instant Request at our wedding! Rick was absolutely fantastic. We might be a little biased, but Colin and I both agreed that he was the best wedding DJ we had ever seen. I can’t tell you how many guests, young and old, gave compliments, or said the Rick was “killing it”, or said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. Even my step-brother, who is a radio DJ, said it was the best wedding dance floor he had ever had the pleasure of partying on  Rick was also incredibly professional and an absolute pleasure to work with! 

We picked Instant Request and DJ Rick after attending a wedding Rick dj’ed a couple years prior. That wedding dance was one of the most fun we had ever attended, and we wanted the same experience at our wedding. Rick did not disappoint! He does a great job of getting everyone out on the dance floor early and keeping them there all night! 10/10 would recommend.

We had Rick as our Black Tie DJ through Instant Request. This man was a godsend. All of our guests continually commented on how he was one of the best DJs they had ever seen. He has a policy that “weddings should be about playing songs that invoke happy memories in the guests, like your jam from college, or that concert you went to together, not the latest and greatest hit no one has heard yet”. Even when a song flopped, he quickly moved it into the next song, pushing the party forward. Songs were blended into each other in fun combinations, and everyone had a blast. He even was great about checking in with us when we were away from the dance floor to make sure everything was perfect. He also provided the music for our ceremony, without having a rehearsal. Everything was perfect after one phone call, including adding songs to their library specifically for us. When we had a mishap during the ceremony, he saved the day by discretely raising the music and making it look intentional. I would 1000% recommend him and Instant Request for any event.

Our reception location (Minnesota Valley Country Club) recommended Instant Request to us for our DJ service and we are very grateful to have chosen them. We decided to get paired with a DJ based on our online profile instead of picking out a DJ and we have no regrets about that. Their online profile system is very thorough and helps paint a complete picture of what you would like on your big day. This system helped pair us with an amazing DJ, Rick. When we talked to Rick, he had many years of experience and we knew we got a great DJ and were going to have an amazing night. We wanted to keep the dance floor packed the whole night and he was able to do that. He played all the right songs to allow for the dance floor to be the place to be that night and also had the right transitions to all the important events of that night (first dances, garter/bouquet toss, dollar dance). Rick was also an amazing MC to help with the flow of speeches and cake cutting earlier in the night. I would highly recommend Instant Request to any couple looking for great DJ service for a great value. And if you want a great DJ, try to request Rick, he was the best. RICK WAS AWESOME! Seriously! He was so great! I’m so glad we paid extra to be able to request him specifically (black tie package). He checked in on us numerous times, kept the dancing going ALL night, switched things up when plans changed… and my favorite part of all is what he did with our opening song. We knew what song we wanted, Prince ‘Let’s go crazy,’ but he had a great idea about timing it out and it was perfect and set the tone for the night! So happy we chose Instant Request for our Dj. We chose Instant Request because Rick Ausland was a DJ at a friend’s wedding. Rick is the best! We were beyond thrilled with him as a DJ at our wedding. He was so much fun and the dance party lasted all night! It was my worst fear to have a wedding where no one danced, or the dance ended early. Thanks to Rick I had nothing to worry about. I think I had sore legs for days because of all the dancing! A few days ago I was chatting about the wedding with friends and one raved about the Dj. Another friend said ‘I didn’t even notice the DJ’ my friend replied, ‘That’s a sign of a good DJ.’ True! We had nothing to worry about with Rick. We enjoyed ourselves and danced for hours. Thanks again, Rick!  Yay!

We chose to get a Black Tie DJ and we were extremely impressed with Rick Ausland. He went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. When we had our Face-to-Face meeting we knew that we were going to be in good hands and that he was a perfect match.  We had a great time just at the meeting and talking over the styles of music we enjoyed. Turned out he enjoyed a lot of the same categories of music we did. As former pep band members music has been our whole life. Rick was great on the day of as well. He played all of our music we had planned out even things we had forgotten about. He helped our night move very smoothly. He was professional and helped us have a fun time. All of our guests said he was amazing as well. He made sure to fit in some the songs they were requesting as well and everyone love how fun and outgoing he was. I would recommend him to anyone of my friends and family who are looking for a great DJ. The music sounded great it really filled the hall out nicely. Not too loud and right on balance. I have been to many weddings and that seems to be something that a lot of the DJ services don’t take into consideration, the size and quality of the sound of the room. Sometimes it was too loud for the space or the music system was set up and it bounced off walls funny and didn’t sound good. For our wedding everything sounded amazing. The lighting was even more spectacular than I was hoping it would be. It really showed off our beautiful venue in all of its glory. The colors really fit in with our theme. I received so many compliments on how great they made everything look.The best part about Instant Request was how professional everyone was. Over all of the communications I had the top priority of everyone at Instant Request was that my day was just how I wanted it. This is an amazing quality in any service. Customer service was not just their goal it was their priority. I am truly grateful for that. I thought the pricing was a Great Value! We got way more than expected for what we paid, in service, quality, and a great product. They truly care about every aspect of their company and nothing is left to question. We looked at many companies, some may have been cheaper but nothing could compare to anything we received through Instant Request. 

A huge thank you to Rick for being an incredible DJ! We turly enjoyed the process and our dance floor was incredible the whole night thanks to his expertise. Thanks for everything! 

Rick A was the BEST! He took all our requests and made the guests have so much fun! Our friends still talk about how he was their favorite part of our wedding reception!

We had Rick Ausland from instant request at our wedding on 10/01/21 at the machine shop and it was incredible! He kept the music moving to please the crowd, and we had a lot of people telling us it was the best wedding dj they have ever experienced. Highly recommend instant request but especially Rick!

We had a great experience with DJ Rick. Our wedding reception was a little outside the traditional reception, in that part of it was in Vietnamese and we had some people who wanted to serenade us with Vietnamese songs. DJ Rick adapted and everyone had a great time. The dance floor was packed. Literally no one was in their seats because everyone was dancing. Thank you for a great wedding reception!

Rick was super easy and fun to work with! We did a short zoom call beforehand to go over music choices, and he did a great job cycling through our playlist and also adding in a few songs of his own. He helped get a lot of people out on the dance floor, including some of my husbands family visiting from Israel! Also stuck to our no country rule, which was greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend!

We worked with Rick for our wedding day, and had an amazing experience both leading up to the day and on the day of. Instant Request overall has a very organized, clear process, which was hugely helpful given how overwhelming music choices can be for a night. Then Rick in particular was great in giving suggestions based off of his experience when needed, while also ensuring that Matt and I defined exactly how we wanted the night to flow. We received so so many compliments on the night of, Rick kept the dance floor alive for hours on end! We cannot recommend him enough!!!

DJ Rick with Instant Request was AMAZING. He kept our reception flowing smoothly, followed our event planner perfectly, and most importantly, kept the dance floor poppin’ all night! He played a mix of music that kept guests of all ages dancing and having fun. I have had several guests ask for his info so that they could hire him for their wedding. Instant Request was an overall very easy company to work with and very communicative. I love that you can plan everything out in their online event planner so that everything is in one place. I am so happy I chose them!
