Originally from Mombasa, Hanni moved to Owatonna when she was in first grade and spent the rest of her grade school years there. Upon graduation, she moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota. Hanni has plenty of experience as a DJ and loves sharing and celebrating music with people, especially watching wedding customs from various cultures come to life. When she’s not DJing, Hanni works as a development producer for an emerging production company. She also produces a podcast called Pal Talk Real Talk, available on Spotify and Apple Music. An interesting fact about Hanni – she has over 70 pairs of sunglasses, and believes sunglasses are a necessary part of the outfit no matter the season! She speaks English and Somali.
